I have been thinking about also applying to a PA program thinking it would be easier to get into then pharmacy....what do you guys think? I just want to be somewhere next fall other then at where I am at now. And if I can't get into pharmacy I want to have a back up plan...know what I mean?

You might want to take your question to the NP/PA/RN forum they can answer your question better than a pharmacy forum.

I have looked into this as well... be careful though, because it may show a conflict of interest, as PA and pharmacy are two entirely different fields. I decided to just stick to pharmacy, but your choice is, of course, entirely up to you.

If you scroll down on the main page of sdn they have a forum for PA/RN/NP. It is however not that indepth. The one posted of me is an amazing forum. Best of luck to you PA is an amazing job, if that is what you are interested in.

The one is Shreveport, La at the LSU Health Science Center is extremely difficult to get in, I believe they accept 30 ppl. I thought about PA too but I think selling drugs for a living is more fun, plus I have way better chance at getting into Louisiana-Monroe Pharmacy School

Man there are so many jobs out there and most high school students including me had no idea about any of these jobs. If there is one thing I would really have liked to have my senior year of high school was a class with a career counselor giving out compatibility tests and information on jobs we might be interested in taking. Because face it, no one learned anything their last year of high school due to senioritis... at least have a class most of us might be interested in taking. I didn't realize how good pharmacy was till I shadowed the job, but I did have a lot of counciling in college to find out. It just screwed things up to find out so late.

I think after 3 tries, applied to 15+ schools, less than 1 interview, then I personally would give up and look elsewhere while applying maybe a fourth time

First of all I hope it goes well for you this year. Eniwaiz, all I know about PA is that it requires direct patient care experience about 2000/3000+ I'm not sure which state you are but here's an info I know and the schools too
