Using the citric acid cycle and the electron transport chain, how many ATPs are ultimately formed from one pyruvate? A) 3 B) 15?

B. It's easy to estimate. Just remember 1 glucose makes a little over 30 ATPs for the whole cycle and 1 glucose is split into 2 pyruvates so each pyruvate gives 15 ATP through the rest of the cycle.
