what is the immediate treatment for thyroid storm if you are in the middle of nowhere? hint: given IV (injected)
 
I'm guessing iv propranolol or some other beta blocker. I don't know if you'd have this in the middle of nowhere

Also give iodine to temporarily inhibit organification in the thyroid gland: the Wolff-Chaikoff effect.

Well, the question was posed by a DrCVS; the middle of nowhere for him would probably be the stockroom in the back.
