what is the immediate treatment for thyroid storm if you are in the middle of nowhere? hint: given IV (injected)

Also give iodine to temporarily inhibit organification in the thyroid gland: the Wolff-Chaikoff effect.

Well, the question was posed by a DrCVS; the middle of nowhere for him would probably be the stockroom in the back.

I think that the first line of therapy is to punch the patient in the throat as hard as you can.
