RECENTLY decide to change from RN to MD/DO?

I was reading that older post about the same topic, but was hoping for more recent (and just more) feedback in regards to why you are changing, if your spouse/SO is supportive, etc.

TIA!

I;m doing it. Just starting the whole process, though. My husband is COMPLETELY supportive. He is glad that I am a nurse, but he is also glad that I have more ambition to better myself. He says keep the momentum going for school rather than wait and try to start again later.

I'm so glad to hear it! Did you think about this for a long time, or was this in the "bigger plan" even before nursing school?

Personally, I think that people having the ambition to further their education, in whatever field they are in, is a good thing.

I don't think her husband meant any harm -- probably the wording was just a bit off.

I also think that it is great that her husband is being supportive and that she has the ambition to continue her education. It may be toward an MD or DO or JD or MSN or even a BSN. Knowledge is power (as corny as that sounds) and it is true that especially as one gets older, going to school gets harder and harder. So Yay!
