Anyone on this board serve on the Admission committee of a UC med school?
If so, which UC and how does your Adcom function? How often do you guys meet and how do they decide who gets an interview and who gets accepted?
Thanks

I want to know too!!!

oh, and if you are on an adcom, 1500 is my top offer. take it or leave it. PM for details.

😀

While you are at it, would you mind if I hopelessly assault you with PM's to prove that I actually a great candidate (all of course without telling you who I am until I impress you enough). Maybe we could get a beer or something like that. Be friends. And you know, friends help friends.

Yeah come on out so that we can stalk you 24/7 and ask a bunch of inappropriate questions.

Just FYI guys, but I don't think many med schools actually have students ON the official admissions committee (I could be wrong . . . ) The closest students usually get is being involved in organizing/running interview days and conducting the student interviews

Oh, and as a transplanted Californian I can tell you that there is no rhyme or reason to the admissions process of the UCs (or any other medical school), stop trying to figure it out while you still have some sanity left

good luck, you'll need it 🙂

I am NOT on an adcom, but I know that students do serve as full members on the adcom of at least one of the UCs.
