Anyone received invite to an evening reception?

I received a letter from Tufts inviting me to an evening reception. For those who had interviewed there already, Is this an interview? But did not have anything about a interview on the letter.
If this is not, then do they send a formal invite through mail or through email?

Hope i get it soon. 😳

I received an invitation to an evening reception from Tufts today also. I don't think that is an interview invitation, though. I didn't interview there yet but will be interviewing in 2 weeks. They sent me the interview invitation via email first and then snail mail, a few days later. You'll probably get an interview invite soon, being that you got the reception invitation... 🙂

I'm not sure where you mean by "around the area" but if you're referring to Boston, then no~ But I believe the event is being held in New York so if thats where you're referring to, then yes~

When I got my interview invite from Tufts it specifically said interview and it gave me a choice of a number of dates. It came by e-mail and then later by regular mail.

I think the reception is just an information session. i received an interview invite by email and then by regular mail also. More than one month later i received the reception invite.
