anyone send more than 2 LORs to Downstate

I just realized that I sent 5 letters to Downstate when they specifically said 2 max.

I lumped them up with the other schools when I processed thru my university letter service.

Anyone know what their policy is? I guess i'll call them tomorrow and tell them what happened.

Despite the fact that SUNY-D indicated a maximum of two LORs, I don't think they would (or should) look unfavorably on receiving more than just two. At my school's LOR service, they send out our entire file of rec letters when we request them to be sent to a specific med school (i.e., we are not allowed to pick and choose which letters go where). I think medical schools realize this and do not penalize applicants for having more than their requested number.

Nonetheless, I would be curious to know what Downstate thinks about this.
