Is it appropriate to send a letter of intent, even though a med school's portal says that they accept a letter of interest? I could frame it as both a letter of interest and intent... I just imagine saying that I would attend the school if given an offer would be stronger.

Wait... why don't you want your IS acceptance that you got early in the cycle?

Gonna be honest I think I have been in a weird place this past week. Hearing you say this made me realize I'm not ready to send this letter to another school as I still very much want and feel committed to my current A. I know you offered a simple message but it definitely gave me some very helpful perspective.
