Anyone starting master's programs?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've started the M.A. program at Wake Forest, and I'm loving it here. Of course, it is a ton of work, but it is a great environment. I enjoy my research assistantship and am generally excited to be here.

Granted, I've obviously been in school for 2 1/2 weeks and do not expect to be this thrilled the entire semester. ;D

Did you start a master's program or just asking about general info?

I am almost halfway done with my MA program, and I am already looking forward to being finished with it. I can't wait until I don't have to go to classes anymore, but that's a way off.

I am also looking forward to my internship, which starts soon. I think that I realize the closer I get the more excited I get to being done.

I just started the MSW program at Salem State College. I am so busy but I'm loving it!

I was curious about other people's experiences, etc...

Just curious how all of your practica/field placements/internships/whateveryourprogramcallsthem are going? You'll do so much learning in the field, it's important to feel like it's a good fit!

I'm enjoying my placement so far. It's all groups (it's a partial program) but it's interesting to see how groups work and it's sort of neat that you can help out 5-10 people at once with therapy and you can give a few minutes to each of them at a time while the rest provide feedback and support to that particular client. I really like the people I work with so far (it's been 2 days) and my supervisor has lofty goals for me. Hopefully all this group work and doing assessments will prepare me for more individual therapy work next year.

If only I didn't have to do all the social work homework 😛 My brain hurts!! I love this stuff but I'm just so exhausted...zzzzz
