After submitting around 14 transcripts and having transcript 7 through 11 get submitted, I was wondering if anyone else is still waiting for verification.
Please let me know when you became active. I became active on the 15th of September.

PS I am trying to establish a harder timeline and find out if anyone else is in the same boat.🙁

I think I became active around that same time. I had 5 transcripts (undergrad, grad, and 3 different summer schools) that have to be verified. Did you also take the August MCAT?Hopefully we will get verified soon....good luck.🙂

the sad part is that I didn't take the August MCAT.

AMCAS just lost my transcripts, it wasn't until I demanded to talk to a supervisor that the next day they found transcript number 7. Actually, it was the second time that I demanded to speak with a supervisor and was transfered to her voice mail that the next day one of them was found.

I submitted my amcas on august 18th. I went active on Sept 25th after amcas received my 5 transcripts. Verified on Oct 15th, the day after I got my aug mcat score. I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

I also am also waiting to be verified. I submitted my application september 1st but my aplication became active October 1st. (AMCAS was missing a physical education course I took at a community college).

Have you been able to get secondary applications for all the schools you have applied to?

I would think judging from the timeline most of us have been through, you should be processed within the next 2 weeks. It seems like it takes 5-7 weeks.

You'd think since some people had active dates the same as mine or even a bit later and have been verified, I'd be verified too. Then again, in these cases, they had submitted their online application a week or two before mine.

I only had one transcript so it should be relatively easy for AMCAS. This Wednesday will be four weeks and I'm expecting to be verified by the end of this week. If not, I can only conclude that AMCAS hates me. 😡

Also, during this time, I've received secondary applications from all the non-screening schools except for: Emory, U of Michigan, Cornell, and Mt. Sinai. I think these (and other) schools specifically wait until they receive a verified application from AMCAS to send you their 2ndary application. That makes no sense to me because if they know I'm applying there, why make me wait until I'm verified to fill out a secondary--I'll be filling one no matter what anyway.

Thanks for the link guys. I appreciate it. $100 fee for the secondary though? Cripes. They had better accept the AAMC fee waiver or I'll have to consider withdrawing my application.

I called AMCAS today and asked them why I wasn't verified yet and why other people who were active later where all ready verified. The person answering the phone said that I was in the present "QUEUE" (spelling). Each Queue lasts 10 business days and they had just finished with the previous one and now are doing the queue that my application is in.

Everything seems so hodge podge there that I am afraid to ask them to verify any of this for fear they might accidentally put it back in the wrong queue. Maybe the one for next year. Or even worse the one for last year. 🙄 🙄

That's useful to know. I'm probably in the same group as you and we'll have the same verification date. Of course, the question of why people that were active later than us ended up in the earlier queue remains to be answered.

If the queue process exists, wouldn't people be getting verified in batches? In other words, wouldn't there be a bunch of people getting verified on a given day and then no one else gets verified until 10 days later or so? Is that really how it's been working?

I am finally processed. Let me repeat that so it sounds a little more tangential. I am finally processed.

I would like to thank AMCAS. I don't know if my call yesterday helped. But for the third time after I have demanded to see a supervisor my application gets moved on. Just think it only took about 10 hours of waiting on the phone. One hundred and fifty dollars in transcipts sending including a third party next day air priority. So, 14 transcripts later, even if they only acknowledge receiving 5 of them, and 5 weeks later I become processed. Now that is the mark of efficiency.
