It's about 2 weeks away and I'm starting to get nervous. :scared: All the schools I've applied to are waiting for my new score. Hopefully I'll get interviews once my new score is out. I've been using Examkrackers and my AAMC practice tests are now 9 points higher than my previous score. Anyone else holding there breath or waiting to hear about interviews pending the January score?

Good luck!!!!:luck: :luck: :luck: I am sure you will do well. 😀

My previous score was a 20 (6B7P7V) Yuck! (But I was taking 20 semester units that summer before Aug MCAT & worked hard and got a 4.0 that semester, but no time for MCAT study)

Thanks Doc Mom!

I'll be taking it...but this will be my first time, and I haven't even filled out primary apps yet so I've still got time to take it again in April if I totally bomb...but it doesn't look like that should happen...hopefully! 😀

Nate.

Is it too late to apply for 2007 admission if I am taking the Jan MCAT?

There are some schools that are accepting the January MCAT. However, if you did not apply yet, I would probably wait. Some schools are already no longer accepting application and at others the deadline is fast approaching. It take about four to six weeks to get verified through AACOMAS. You will have to check with the schools to see what is possible, but I would advise you to save your money and apply for 2008. It is really not that far away. Good luck!:luck:

There are about 4 schools that have a March/April deadline, The Touro schools CA, NV, NY, and Western I believe. They do accept Jan MCAT, but you'd need to get verified & ready by AACOMAS before the score comes out in late February. So if you do it, you need to start ACCOMAS now and order your transcipts today. 🙂

i'm also taking the jan mcat so good luck everyone!:luck: :luck: :luck:

Good luck to both of you!! I'm taking it, also. I didn't do so hot on the first one, and thought I would need to re-sit it to get any interviews. Well, I have a couple acceptances, that are not conditional on my new MCAT scores. I'm in a bit of a bind now, since I have no motivation to study (I studied my butt off the first time). I work full-time, classes part-time, etc--so I'm getting home really late (I didnt have that problem over the summer). And just cancelling means I basically throw $105 in the trash. Now I'm just worried that I could possibly do worse😱

Why are you taking it then? LOL! You couldn't pay me enough to take that test again!::scared: Seriously, if you are not studying, you might do worse. 😱 If you like any of the schools you have an acceptance at, I would throw the money in the trash and pack your bags for med school.😉

Good luck to anyone taking it.:luck:

I registered before I had received any interview invites (back in Nov). I planned to study, but I'm picking up more work responsibilities, and putting in more hours, so things are NOT going as planned. I'm worried I may do worse--though I doubt that's even possible. I was pretty sick that day. I should take half the money and run while I still can! Thanks for the hot tip, DoctorMom78! 😀

Agreed!👍 Just add it to the pile of money you spent applying to medical school.
