Not asking anyone to name names (but if you feel so inclined, feel free), and the grass is always greener on the other side, but does anyone feel that perhaps they'd be better off at one of their other choices?

I ask because in PT school, there is no transferring, only starting over. When I was going to info sessions, I met a girl who left her program in good standing after the first year because she felt it wasn't the right program for her (a very costly mistake!).

If anyone has an experience to share, would really appreciate it!

I know a few people who have been in this position, or who have left a program after a semester or first year because they realized in the end PT wasn't for them.

If you want to be more specific you can PM me and I can offer my advice. Generally though, I think it depends on why the program feels wrong - if it's just classmates, but the instruction and program itself is good, then I'd say stick it out since you're only in the class for two years or so (the rest is clinicals and then life). If you don't like the classes themselves (content, not instruction), then that may not be the program, but the field itself.

PT school is what you make of it. If its classmates, think 2 years with them vs 40 years in the profession. Don't sweat the small stuff. You will learn most on your clinicals and all the info u need in in the Board review books. Once you get out and have a mentor and can pick CEU classes, your knowledge will increase exponentially. Fight the good Fight!
