I just attempted to login to my AMCAS application in order to reference a question on a different thread. Every time I tried, it informed me that I'm running an "unsupported browser." WTF? I'm running mozilla firefox, so I brushed the dust off my internet explorer and fired it up. Nope, not that either. according to the AMCAS website, their only supported browsers are:
I wonder if the AMCAS tech support is just slacking off? I mean seriously you aren't going to support the latest versions of the most popular browsers? Or maybe they believe that this late in the application cycle noone needs to log in?
Well this is a new computer that came with internet explorer 8. Below the list of browsers, it explains how you can make IE 8 work with a few button presses. I don't know why my firefox doesn't work, as it is version 3.6.For PC users, AMCAS supports the following browser versions:
- Internet Explorer 7.0
- Internet Explorer 6.0
- Internet Explorer 5.5
- Netscape 7
- Firefox 1.0.2
- Firefox 1.5
- Firefox 2.0
- Firefox 3.0
