Ok..

Given not that much time remaining. Has anyone resorted to solely using Kaplan lecture notes, having gone to the kaplan classes, and of course using FA. And of course doing qbank and that's it and taken the USMLE ?

I feel the Kaplan books, having gone to class also, are a great source especially w/ all the annotations one makes during classes. However, it's almost humanly impossible to go through everything in just 15 odd days of lecture. I figure knowing cold kaplan's stuff may seem like a viable option. Anyone ever done it?

Thanks

I think it's a little too optimistic to try to know Kaplan cold. It's hard enough to know FA cold, and that's about 1/2 the amount of information. What I'm doing is using Kaplan as my foundation and just going to the lectures and then through the books once. After Kaplan is over, I'll spend about 3 days on behavioral and anatomy, 1 day doing the Kaplan full length, and two 12 hr days going through BRS Path. The last 6-8 days will be solely devoted to FA (I'm hoping to get through all of FA three times in that period, going at about 10-12 hours a day).

Think about it like this - if knowing most of FA is supposed to at least get you to pass (and I suspect that is still an understatement), you have to figure that you're picking up at LEAST an extra 10-20% of the material NOT in FA just by going to lectures and doing the reading. If that's not enough to at least hit the mean or more, then I give up.

By the way, I think we're in the same Kaplan class.
