Has anyone used this "PCAT Secrets" book? It has some lofty claims but I was wondering if it really was legitimate.

I'd be afraid to submit my credit card info on a site like that... :D

Then again, I though PCAT Professor looked lame too, but that site's content rocks...

I think several posters mentioned that is that its pretty scammy and worthless. I think there may be something in the FAQ about it.

PCAT professor, on the other hand, is not a scam, and has been very helpful for many people.

It helped me on the vocab part. I basically made flash cards of every word(something like 600 words) and put them around my house. Whatever room I was in, I had different words to review. I got an 89%ile on the vocabulary. Without the review, I would have done horribly - my vocabulary leaves much to be desired.

It also gives some basic pointers. For example, it reminds you to use units in order to answer a question that you otherwise would have had no idea how to answer.

Yeah I bought that e-book. I dont consider myself a great test taker and I knew everything that it had to offer.

So it's legitimate. It Just sucks.... bad

It's better to use KAPLAN. Also, you need to review your chemistry notes and Biology notes. I took PCAT in June, it had only 2 calculations for chemistry section. It did not have any plant questions on it.

I didn't know about it. It was a well-kept secret, I guess.

Kaplan book, Kaplan book, Kaplan book.

Rule #1: Never buy a product from a company whose site looks like "Baby's 1st Web Page".

Rule #2: Never buy a product from a company whose spokesperson hasn't yet admitted to himself that he's going bald.

I bought it. I got in the 99th percentile. I dont know if it was due to the book or not, but it seemed pretty helpful. I mean at the time I took it, there was no kaplan book, so that might be better, but it is short and sweet and has some helpful tricks. You get what you pay for when you spend 25 bucks-- it can't take the test for you, but it may help if you are looking for a quick fix to boost your score a few points.
