If you mean a medical dictionary, then I'd recommend Stedman's. That's what I used during my first-year of med school and it was helpful.
 
no. not the Stedman. i mean the books that can tell u how the word are built. they have roots and prefix.

I took a terminology course in undergrad. The text we used was "Greek and Latin in Scientific Terminology" by Nybakken (ISBN: 0813807212). I found it very useful, but a lot of the rots it has are quite rare/not applicable to medicine.
