Hey, I am taking MCATs on May 22nd. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their online login id password for the practice exams on AAMC practice material website. Thanks

Those are copyrighted and cost $35 a piece, and the password and username is the same as for signing up for the mcat. Kind of risky for people to give up that information to someone random on the internet, and unfair since everyone has paid for them on their own. You're better off buying them yourself because I highly doubt people will share their passwords with you, even though people will be more than willing to help you out if you don't understand the questions.

If you want to save money on AAMC stuff, just sign up for the FAP. However, I think you will still have to pay same price for AAMC tests, but you get some freebies like MSAR, and the SA. Also I'm pretty sure it's against their policy to have multiple users on one account, so I wouldn't do it.

If you're going to try and steal from AAMC by sharing an account with another user.. you can at least offer to pay for half of the account.

not to mention, your test is in less than two weeks and you've yet to take a practice test? oh boy

I mean I wanted to split the cost. Not just use someone else's account. I can use mine. I have no problem letting someone else know my info

I wanted to postpone it until next month but I passed the deadline and won't get a refund on them. So I thought why not just take it? This is my second trial. Do you think I should not take it?

That depends on what you scored the first time, what you're currently scoring on practice tests and the score you are shooting for.

I can tell you point blank that the more tests you take, the less useful your scores are. It's very hard to recover from one poor score, let alone two. Many schools also average all scores together. It's not as simple as a decision as just showing up and "why not?" as it could have significant implications for getting into medical school. Schools don't like to see multiple test takers. One and done should be the goal.. two tests if necessary.. three+ only in extreme circumstances.

Who's gonna know lol

You're right. That's all that matters right? Do whatever you want as long as you don't get caught, morals be damned!

Don't mind me stealing from you.. as long as you don't figure it out, its no big deal.

(also, its a fairly easy thing to figure out based on IP addresses logging into the account and I'm fairly confident that if the AAMC cared, it would be an automatic red flag on the account which would lead to not being allowed to take the MCAT.. but who cares!)

The aamc is a scumbag organization that exploits applicants and you want to talk to me about morals. Hah. Even if the aamc checked an IP, they wouldn't have substantial proof to show that your account wasn't compromised or some bs. So chill out.

Why do they need substantial proof? They don't have to prove anything in a court of law. Simply put, if they wanted to terminate your account and bar you from taking the MCAT on any non-discriminatory basis... they are allowed to. Read the terms and conditions.

But as you said, two wrongs make a right.

This kind of post is going to light up soon, someone prepare the EMP...

They could bar you, but they wouldn't. If they did they'd have a lawsuit on their hands that they wouldn't be able to win because they wouldn't have substantial evidence that the suspected individual was in fact breaching their terms and conditions willingly. This is all besides the point. It's unlikely that the aamc would pay that much attention to any single account to begin with. Also, for you to tell others about what is "moral" and what isn't is out of line. A written rule is not always a moral truth, but maybe you haven't learned that yet.

Pretty sure stealing is immoral. AAMC makes the materials, its up to them how they are distributed (ever hear of copyright law?). If they don't want them distributed in a certain way, that's their choice.. not yours. Oh by the way, is you telling me that I'm acting out of line moral or not? because I'm sensing some irony.

And they don't need substantial evidence lol. This isn't a criminal trial. Plus, I'm almost certain the AAMC would laugh at an individual trying to sue them.. I think they have the funds and lawyers on retainer to handle a measly lawsuit. It is blatantly obvious that an account is being shared when two different IP addresses in different locations routinely access the account and each take the AAMC Practice Tests separately. Have fun suing them and trying to get into medical school though.

Not to mention.. again.. as long as its on a non-discriminatory basis.. AAMC can bar you from using THEIR product for any reason they want and no lawsuit will change that. You can sue and likely get a refund but at the end of the day, if they don't want you to use their materials/services.. you aren't using their materials/services.

Do whatever you want but don't act like because you think the AAMC is evil, you are Robin Hood by doing so. If you're okay with stealing, go for it. Not once here did I say you shouldn't do it, just that it is wrong to do so. It's up to you to decide if that wrong is something you are okay with committing, like every other wrong in life.

Your reasoning is such garbage. I sincerely hope I never have to work with you when everything's said and done. Peace

Hahaha can't attack the reasoning, attack the person. Classic.

Enjoy man. You're right though, you have the AAMC all figured out and are clearly more capable than their lawyers. Go get 'em! It'll probably only cost you a little more than the $100-200 you'll save.

Great future doc here.

I could but I don't feel like wasting my time quoting a bunch of random **** just to illuminate your errors. Even if I did, it's clear that you're incapable of accepting anything but your own ideas. Oh and I purchased my own tests, I'm only speaking for the OP.

Still here? weird.. thought you left.

And god damn do you make assumptions. Not sure why I can't accept other ideas and not sure where I said you didn't purchase your own tests.. I would love to make a VR crack here but ad hominem isn't my thing.

Drawing unwritten conclusions is part of VR. Didn't you know?
