Anyone with experiance with Post-Bacc Studies at SUNY-Purchase

Hi:

Just checking to see if anyone has any recent experience in researching, or actually undertaking the Post-Bass program at SUNY Purchase.

I did find a recent post here, but it appears the poster is no longer a member, so I was hoping if anyone else had looked into this program and had any positive or negative comments, they could pass them on.

Currently taking classes there, what do you want to know?

Pros
You could hypothetically finish all the pre reqs in 1 yr if you do gen chem in the summer but 2 yrs is recommended by the postbacc director.
The classes are relatively small, the instruction is decent.
You get a post bacc certificate and a committee letter at the conclusion of the program.
It's relatively cheap and costs a lot less than nyu/ columbia post bacc (instate tuition is around $280/credit)

Cons
There do not seem to be any formal linkages.
I don't know how well known the program is or how much it will help u on its own.


Overall, for me its a decent fit. Its a cheap state school where i can get my prereqs done.

Hi, I'm a pre vet student what can you tell me about the postbacc program at suny purchase? what professors do you recommend i sign up with? do you even get a choice in signing up with professors? Anything you can tell me would be most appreciated!!

I'm planning on pre-dental and need to get my pre-req finished. does anyone have any recent experience with SUNY Purchase post bacc program? im planning on taking classes in the fall this year.
And what are your thoughts about Manhattanville College Post Bacc program vs SUNY Purchase?
