People do it all the time. Just don't feed one or the other competing information. Some places have strict policy against this. Before Long's went to CVS, I was told by Long's I could not work both WAG and Long's.
No, I ended up going per-diem in a hospital, so there was no conflict there.
I would recommend just being open with your employer about it. We had lots of retail people working more than 1 chain openly. I just remember Long's being strict about it. I'm not sure if it was a local management decision or a chain-wide policy.
