Anyone works for a correctional facility in CA as a Rph?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
No, but I am acquaintances with an RPh who currently works in one. They told me a few things about what working in one is like, such as dress code, shift hours, and workplace politics.

I know of pharmacists who work for ICE and BOP (Federal Bureau of Prisons, not board of pharmacy...) in California. Neither agency has pharmacist vacancies in California as of right now, but spots do occasionally open up. You can get hired on as a civilian, but most pharmacists in those agencies are PHS officers. I can definitely speak more to the PHS side of things (benefits, conditions of service, etc.), and I have some second-hand insights to working for either agency. Feel free to message me if you have specific questions.

Unfortunately, I can't really speak to anything on the state or county level.

Yes, I do. Feel free to DM me.
