OK, this is my first time doing this. So I just finished my FAFSA online, sent in my electronic signature, got my pin, designated my schools, and printed a copy for my records.

So is the next step to just wait for my school to give me money? Is it really that simple?

I assume after the school decides how much money I deserve, I will then decide if I need more. Then I would go for private loans? Does this sound right?

Thanks in advance.

i believe your school should also have a designated set of forms that you need to fill out and hand in so they can assess your financial need. you might even have to send in your (or your parents) 1040 tax forms to your school's financial aid. i would call the financial aid office of your school to get those forms and to ensure your financial aid application is completed. money comes fast and it goes fast, so get on it! 🙂

Hi eddie269. I haven't filled a FAFSA in a couple of years either, so am a little anxious about the process. :scared:

After you receive your SAR report via e-mail and if there arn't any problems listed in the summary, you are done with the FAFSA, right?
