Hi SDN Recently I determined that PA will not be for me and to start my journey for DO. I have questions based on what I need to add to my application the next 3 years.
I have a 3.8 GPA. I'm transferring to a University next school cycle to get an exercise science degree. I'm actually interested in that line of studies. I will be pushing off major courses to take ochem, physics, and biochemistry. I should be done with my undergrad in 3 years.
I'm about to start volunteering at my local church with Sunday school.
I will also start shadowing a DO here soon.
I've been an EMT for 2 years with periodical ambulance experience but mainly wheelchair medical transport and hospital discharges.
Is there anything else that I should be doing before I apply to med school?
Thanks and all responses are appreciated.

It sounds like you're on the right track. Do these and keep your grades up and you'll be well on your way to admission into medical school. Anything else would just be icing on the cake.
