Sorry for this poste but although I've done some research and for nearly every school I've seen, none of them require calc or above for their math to get into the dental program for that school, is this true? And also the main topic of concern.. is there anything that has to do with calculus on the DAT? I have a friend who INSISTS that he is reading somewhere that we do have to learn it but i have seen no such thing.

Thank you for the help, maybe a link of reference would be helpful if you could post it up so I can send it to him to quite him down once and for all.

The DAT QR is all algebra, geometry, and some trigonometry. Basic highschool math.

Absolutely no calc on the DAT. I wish there was instead of stupid basic crap.

is there any reason to take it at ALL for the dental school purposes? I see on UCLA's website they recommend calc as well as other classes

Im sure he can skim by without taking it.

But like Biochem and Micro. Calc adds alot when youre being considered.

When schools strongly recommends it. It's never a bad idea to have it.
