I am considering to become a member of alpha omega or something else.
Fee is kind of expensive and...I am wondering if it is worthwhile...
Could you let me know if there is any advantage of becoming a member of AO or others?

Thanks!

telling your parents you are part of AO :)

Their are advatages but you have to seek them out. Since it is pretty much the only national dental frat you can get some hook ups

In my opinion and take it for what it is. Unless you plan to actively participate or utilize their services you are just waisting $50. Nobody will take you just cause you are a member. Maybe if you hold a position that's something that ppl will respect. But too many students just hope that some admissions guy in an ortho program is also an AO and will look favorably upon them. I dunno if that's the case, especially if you don't hold a position and aren't really involved. Do it for yourself and not the CV if u wanna join.
