My school just posted senior AOA, which I became a member of. Very exciting!

My question is, I changed my profile on ERAS to "AOA member" -- is this enough? Programs have only redownloaded my profile and not my CAF. Do I need to email programs or will the profile be enough to alert programs?
Thanks.

Thanks.

When you update your profile and we connect to the ERAS postoffice, the new information is downloaded to our system. The new profile is then printed out (for those programs that print stuff out).

The good news:

1. Any "filter" (electronic search of the ERAS database) looking for AOA status will report that you are now AOA
2. Your new printed profile will report your AOA.

The bad news:

1. The new printed profile doesn;t highligh what has changed. I can;t tell you how many new profiles I get every day, and when I search through them I find that a small typo wa fixed, or no change at all.

Presumably, those programs that focus on AOA status to invite candidates will find it. I would plan on highlighting the change when you interview.
