anyone know anything about them i.e. which are strong programs, selection factors PDs use in assessing applicants?

A strong program is usually a fairly subjective evaluation. As for PD assessments, always ALWAYS do a rotation with a possible program of interest. With AOA residencies, this seems to be the golden factor PD's go by...
