AOA residency and internship year requirement

So im kind of surprised I havent thought of this yet and kind of ashamed that I dont know the answer.

So here is the question...

Since the AOA requires an internship year, do all of the AOA residencies have the internship year built into their program or do we have to do a rotating internship and then apply to begin a residency (IM, EM, OB, FP and such) upon completion of the internship?

depends on the program....most integrate but some keep it seperte
