I got a 5 on the AP Biology exam back in high school. UCSD (my uni) gives you credit for that, meaning you cannot/should not take the 3 quarters of beginning biology. Will this fulfill my prepreq for opt school? What will be my grade that they factor in, because I never took it?

It depends on the school. I've heard that some schools do not accept AP credits. You need to call and ask admissions.

check with each school is your surest best for the right answer. I'm more than sure though, whether they take the AP credit or not, they will say it will probably be to your advantage to go ahead and take it though.

From the research I've done on the schools I applied to,

Western, Nova, ICO, NECO, SCO, Salus, and Pacific accept AP credit.
SCCO does NOT accept AP credits.

its ok to finish some of your prereqs after you apply right?

Most people apply after their junior year of college, so yes. A couple are okay, but if you still have a lot of pre-reqs to take your senior year they don't really like that.
