Hey! Doing my due-diligence and inputting my AP credits onto AMCAS. My school does a lump sum of AP credits on the actual transcript (it’s something like test credit: 39 credits, with no extra information).
I requested a breakdown letter from my university. I asked that they send it to AMCAS as well (hopefully they did) but mostly requested it for my own reference (otherwise I could never remember what tests counted for what). It looks like my AP history courses (highlighted) counted for the same college level history courses (HIST 1301, 1302).
Is it okay to write 4 different entries for these? So like:
HIST 1301, AP credit: European History, 3 credits…
and a separate
HIST 1301, AP credit: United States History, 3 credits …
(and same for HIST 1302)
Or is AMCAS going to be mad that I repeated a course name? I know the normal advice here is “just follow your transcript” but these aren’t on my transcript. I’m just breaking down the lump sum into specific courses based on the breakdown letter. Other advice appreciated as well!
