Hello,

I am an applicant for the 25-26 cycle and when I came to college, I passed out of the first physics class in a series of three (quarter system). I had filed a petition to retake that class in college, but the petition was denied. I am aware that some medical schools require you to take a higher level of a class if you used AP credits to clear it. Is there any way I can appeal to those medical schools? I am currently taking an upper-division physics course but I don't have the necessary background to do well. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you have access to the MSAR, you can look under the pre-reqs list for each school you intend to apply to.
This list usually includes the number of hours required plus whether the school accepts AP or Online courses for any of the math and science prereqs. It might not be as big a problem as you think.
You can look this information up on each individual school’s website also, but using the MSAR is more convenient

What do your prehealth advisors say? Are you the first student with this problem?
