I have took the AP Cal BC exam a year ago and got a 4. that will exempt me from cal I and II in the college im going to. the thing is, i think i forgot almost everything except for the most basic stuff. because of this, i do not want to use my ap cal credit. same with ap chem. however, i do want to use my ap credits from history and other non-premed classes to exempt from core curriculum requirements. is this ok? will medical schools be okay with that? i have to schedule my classes soon so i was wondering. thanks!

Yup! Skipping humanities courses is fine. Like you said, I would advise against using Ap credit for Calculus. If you're applying to the UC medical schools and some others you are required to take one year of math at College (no AP credit), so by not using AP credit you can retake Calculus AB and have an easier time in a required course.
