Has anyone gotten accepted to Yale using some of the AP credits? I have every classes required except for one semester of chem, which I used AP. Would you be able to negotiate with the school and see if you could matriculate without that semester?

I'm wondering the same thing. I do not have time to take this class again as a non-trad applicant (second career- I'm a biostatistics research analyst). @Ethan M any more news on this? I heard that schools reserve the right to waive their own requirements if they see fit. I hope that applies here.

My friend had a similar issue although he’s a current applicant so not accepted yet. But they said that his current coursework with AP credit was fine. I’d email the admissions office and explain your situation to get an official answer

I will let you know what they say. I did an interview from them a month ago, and I guess this may be a good sign since they asked us to fill out course we took to satisfy their requirement beforehand?

Did you find out if it was ok?

Hey, just got my acceptance from them yesterday. So from the application process, I would say that AP is not accepted at Yale. The summer when the application cycle started, I retook chemistry at a university, and I was able to fulfill their requirements as they asked you to select courses you took that satisfy their course requirements in their secondary. Nevertheless, if you have courses involving chemistry, they can be used to fulfill the requirements. Hope this helps
