AP Statistics

Hello, I am applying this cycle, and have always taken higher level college courses that covered using AP courses as a base class. For the requirement of Statistics, I didn't know that my AP stats would not count. Seems that only some schools require Statistics that cannot come from AP. Or am I reading this wrong? Anyone have any experience with this? For example, Creighton and Pritzker want Statistics and it can't be from AP. Thanks!
