Hello,
I have a question. I have passed the NERB, and now am interested in passing the credentials for the APEX exam. What is this new exam all about?? Anyone have a website/phone number for it? Do they accept certain portions (i.e. manikin exam results) of the NERB?
Thanks.

The new ADEX exam (I presume that is what you are referring to) is more or less based off of components of the NERB exam, with joint input from NERB, CRDTS, CITA, SERTA, etc. The ADEX exam (as far as I am aware) is what's now being used by NERB, CRDTS, CITA, and other testing agencies. The CITA website has details of the content of the ADEX exam: http://citaexam.com/Dental Examination.htm The AADE website might also be helpful for you: http://www.aadexam.org (though some of the information is outdated; i.e. the creation of the CITA board, and the recent implementation of the ADEX exam).

Also, the new ADEX exam is reported to have no grandfather clause, so it's up to the discression of each state board as to whether results from previous/other board exams will be considered in granting licensure. Best to check with the specific state dental board for the state you are looking to practice in to be sure.

Im doing APEX this summer. Probably not the same thing you are referring to.
