How many grads actually trying to become dentists/doctors every year? If one could apply only to 1 school?

i think there is approximately 12000-14000 applicants to dental schools per year. it may be higher this year you dont know exact numbers until the cycle is over.

and there are around 4000-5000 seats available.

If I will get a good DAT, ok or good grades on prereqs ( I have a foreign degree in biology 😡 🙁 ) and some stubborness, will I get in? I mean I am ready to keep applying as long as it takes. But still.. I will be 30 soon.. 2 years of prereqs or more to go 🙁 ..
