Hello all,
At Scholl we had the APMA come by for a visitation yesterday. They spoke a little about the organization, the Young Members Program, and PPAC. Although, they didn't go into any details about legislation being passed, they mentioned a couple of things that they have been working on this past year. Does anyone know what they are currently working on? Also, a question of universal scope was brought up by one of our students, and they replyed that they don't see this happening anytime in our near future, it was an issue with each state. So, is that 2015 resolution just a pipe dream or what?
Also, I am assuming that the APMA is a private organization that only gets funding from students and DPM's. Because they tried to convince us to donate $$$ to their organization. Personally, I thought that the $300 or more that came out of my tuition for this first year was enough for all the other organizations, which I thought included the APMA.
Does anyone know if the AMA works this way also? Do they only get $$$ from students and MD's? 😕
What about the ADA or the AOA?
