Just started working as a cv anesthesiologist at a community hospital and one of my responsibilities is now to attend the cardiac surgery icu.
There are 7 attendings and we all take turns covering the unit. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with mobile app software to facilitate handovers since we cover the unit often times from home and arent there to do formal face to face handovers?
In the past they just used paper notes but they were clunky and easy to get lost and also diffiicult to update if you werent in-house. We have tried an app call touchrounds and found it useful but its a bit expensive for what it offers. Wondering if you had any other suggestions?
