Hi

Here's a question for anyone who knows

I'm going to apply June 1st to dental schools and take the DAT in august. I know that the earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting in to dental schools so thats why i'm applying at the earliest date. But I am wondering, if i take my DAT in August, will the admissions people not even look at my application or not consider it seriously until august when I submit my DAT scores?

Thanks

processing your aadsas application takes about six weeks. get it processed as soon as possible even if you don't have dat scores. aadsas and ada work separately. your timing is just about right. not late at all. some schools look at your app without the dat scores but i think most prefer to see your scores before giving serious decisions (interviews) good luck.

freedyx,

I applied the first day and I took my DAT in mid-september (the day before my first interview in Philly). I got four interviews without my DAT scores including: Temple, Bu, NOVA, PENN. So if your other app is strong, some schools will give you interviews w/out them. However they will not accept you without your scores. But it is a win situation since you already jumped a hurdle of getting an interview, and regardless how well you do you have that interview secure. If an ivy league school can give me an interview w/out my DAT scores then I think other people will be lucky too.
