I am a senior about to graduate, and have 2 of 3 quarters' worth of grades from senior year available.

Of course, earlier is generally better, so I submitted my AMCAS 8 minutes after it opened yesterday morning. However, it was processed today, and my verified AMCAS GPA (c 3.47, bcpm 3.32) on the app ended up being the same as my ugrad GPA. I was expecting it to be a little higher, but that did not happen. I am doing well in my classes right now, and my quarterly GPA will probably be the best I have had so far. It will get me to at least a 3.5 cumulative. Should I take the time to update every single school that I applied to (27 of them) with my spring grades after they come out (they are due the 17th)? Or is it not worth the effort?

Below are my GPA trends. I showed a gigantic improvement after freshman year, but what worries me is that they went down a little senior year, due to MCAT and stuff. Having spring grades would show that I am actually still doing well.

BCPM: 3.32 overall
Freshman: 2.42
Soph: 3.61
Jr: 3.61
Sr (through winter): 3.42

Cumulative: 3.47 overall
Freshman: 2.85
Soph: 3.66
Jr: 3.76
Sr (through winter): 3.52

Also, if it helps, my MCAT is a 30. (8 PS, 11 BR, 11 BS)

Thank you!

I don't think it's worth the effort, but I haven't been in your shoes. I honestly think applying as early as you did will be more helpful than the slight increase in your grades. Just make sure you're as on top of it for secondaries! <-- My $0.02

Even if you update individual schools with your latest transcript, they will not recalculate your application GPAs provided by AMCAS.

This is not true of AACOMAS (DO) schools, BTW. Historically, if you had sent them a new official transcript, they updated all schools for you.

Edit -From this year's instructions: you may update your coursework during one of the three Academic Update periods. An email will be sent to applicants when the Academic Update periods open

The updates periods are:
  • September 1- October 15, 2015
  • January 1- February 15, 2016
  • March 15-April 15, 2016
