Has anyone appealed a rejection before? I would appreciate any advice on what to focus on, how to format my letter etc. I recieved a secondary application from the school and was rejected for an interview. Thanks!

It is very unlikely an appeal would do anything to change the school's decision. Unfortunately every school has to turn away qualified applicants. If anything, pushing the matter and questioning their judgement might make things difficult for reapplication next year (if necessary).

If you had an interviewer that you felt was biased or asked inappropriate questions a request for a second interview would make sense. A preinterview rejection is hard to question.

If this is a school that you are particularly interested in you should contact the admissions office and ask for a phone appointment with the Dean to discuss your application and how it might be improved.
