Do you have to shave your head for ODS? Cutting it short is one thing, but is it required for Dental Students to shave their head for the month they are away at ODS?

Actually, after doing some searching, it appears I answered this exact question in the pre-dental forum over a year ago... I said no, but I don't remember who my resource was... Anyone want to clear it up?

I can't confirm it, but I believe it is short hair and no facial hair. My recruiter made a comment about shaving my goatee before going in, and military has always been short hair. I doubt you have to shave your head, this isn't the Marines lol (no disrespect to those who are!)

Also, GREAT profile pic! That was my main reason for commenting, Hangover is an instant classic. Too bad they actually made fun of dentists in the film, but still funny.

Haha, thanks for the response. I did a little more research and shaving the head is 'not' necessary, but they have hair regulations. Can't touch the collar in the back and can't touch the ears. Also, the front must be short enough to not interfere with head gear. I just don't want to shave my head.
