No one knows what they will look at. I wouldn't just assume they won't look at all of it. If a schools gets 500 applications, maybe they'll look at all of them all the way through. But if they get 4,000 applications, it would be almost impossible to look at every single one all the way through. So, would you rather a school see only your name, DAT, and GPA on the first page when they pull up your application? Or would you rather them see name, DAT, GPA, and some other info like ECs about you on the first page? This is a way for them to see a little summary of your whole application right up front instead of just a set of numbers.
If you don't have great stats, you do not want a school just seeing only your grades and scores before the rest of your application.
