For all those people who refused to switch to Macintosh computers because Apple didn't produce a two button mouse, well you can't use that excuse anymore. http://www.apple.com/mightymouse/

A Bluetooth version should be released shortly.

Note: As always, third-party mice (e.g., Logitech) have always been compatible with Macs. So the two button theory was pretty moot to begin with since you could have used a third party mouse. I never used the right button, and in fact, when I purchased a Mighty Mouse today, I disabled the right button so I could use the mouse as a one button mouse again. I prefer holding down the control button when clicking to bring up other options.

I was initially going to just go without using a mouse for my ibook but now that there will be one soon that has scrolling capability and extra buttons on the side, it will have to be added to my collection. Thanks for the info.

southerndoc, how did you find using it as a two-button mouse? Does it work as well as advertised?

Actually I never tried it. I disabled it from the start.

OK, I just enabled it and tried it. It works ok as long as your finger isn't touching the top left portion of the mouse at the same time. (i.e., You have to lift your left finger off the mouse when right clicking) This is expected since the mouse uses a touch sensor to see where you're touching the mouse. If you're touching it on both the left and right sides at the same time, then it acts as a left click.

This mouse looks cool. I can't wait to get one!

If only I could justify getting a 50dollar mouse when my current wireless opticals work just as well, if not better. i'd much rather get a bluetooth laser mouse though. Even though the mighty mouse looks great, that small round button seems like scrolling won't be that convenient but I have yet to play with it so who knows, I may just love it. I do like how it is sooo sleek (just like everything apple is making nowadays).

Are there any time estimates for when the wireless bluetooth mighty mouse will be released? I just ordered an iBook and want to wait until it comes out before buying a wireless mouse.

I don't think they are releasing one for a couple of months. I think their next Bluetooth mouse will be 2.0+EDR compatible.
