Hello to those who are applying to Un. of CA!

Would anybody who already has some progress on their application process such as interview or acceptance share their credentials profile? I am just wondering whether those schools are really that competitive because they get students only with over 30 MCATs, etc., or some avarage students like me with lower scores have chances as well?
The same wondering about applicants to Keck School of Medicine at USC.
Thanks...

waitlist uci,

a sad process.

check mdapplicants.com for a lot of data

I'm getting the hardcore "hold" cold shoulder from 4 UCs, it sucks so bad. On that note, does anyone else suspect that UCs talk to each other about applicants or at least know each others formulas for who likes who?

nah, i think their jobs are difficult enough without having to collaborate and/or think about other schools.

I think the responses we get are more dependent on the actual *reviewer* than the actual school or its philosophy

Well I'm sure my stats are the most stunning . . .

UCSF secondary complete 9-13 (still no rejection) - my stats link is below.

Granted, no interview, but still.

33 mcat, 3.6 bcpm, 3.7 overall

interviews uci, ucd, ucsf
pre-interview hold at ucsd
waitlist at uci

ucla and usc haven't heard from (it's been 3 months!); sometimes i feel like they lost my application. like some reviewer has had it sitting on his/her desk underneath some scientific papers and it will never be found.

Don't worry about it, guys. They're just really slow. My friends who applied last year were as apprehensive as you all are at this time last year, and they got most of their interviews after the holidays and ended up getting into many great schools. Keep the hopes up! 😀 👍

does anyone know when usc is going to get back to people who have already interviewed? i cant recall the adcom people giving any indication....

i am...
36, 3.78
interviews at usc, ucla, uci
accepted ucsd
