Not to kiss any applicants' asses, but, for the two days I've met them, this year, like last, I am impressed. I have no idea about their academic records, but they are impressive people - funny, smart, well-rounded, the chicks are hot. I'm happy I don't have to make the rank list. The question "could I work with this person?" is answered affirmatively almost unanimously.

This is after getting a mistaken offer from Kalamazoo (someone else with the same first name, and similar last name - not until the fax did I know it wasn't me!), good words late last week from Drew, a call back from DRH saying they filled, and Metropolitan still having 2 spots open at 3pm. I heard really great things about Duke and was shocked to see their unfilled spots, I have a friend there doing IM who is very happy. I hear NC is great also. I think I know who he is talking about -- WC from NSU. WC also frequents this board, but he MATCHED into a position this year.

So, to clear up any confusion by the misidentification of Apollyon. While it may be true that he is a resident here at Duke, his initials are most definitely NOT W.C. and he did not graduate from NSU. Those 2 identifiers belong to me. As southerndoc eluded to, I matched at Duke this year and graduated from NSU. So, don't worry Apollyon, your secret is safe with me!!
