Hi, I would like some advice on my application!

Where is your state of residence ? Are you from a URM community ?

I suggest all these DO programs with your stats:
TUNCOM
ATSU-SOMA
UIWSOM
ARCOM
NYIT-AR
ACOM
WCU-COM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia
MU-COM
LECOM (all schools)
CUSOM
VCOM (all schools )
Most of these schools have MCAT medians in the 498 to 502 range so you should receive interviews.

Do you have any idea what happened on test day? What were your FL practice scores? Although you haven’t shared any specifics in the EC category your GPAs are great and you say your ECs are. So maybe you should consider a retest. You’d have to score a 512+ to make up for your very low 498. A 498 is too low for MD. If you are open to DO apply to @Faha’s list and see what happens. If accepted you won’t need a retest. California is a tough state to be from!

There are a couple of schools that have their 10th percentiles at 498 and other schools that require only a 495 to apply? Any reason for this?

What schools are you talking about?

Rosalind Franklin has a 10th percentile of 498 for matriculants
OUWB is more holistic

Many schools are holistic but you have to get through the screening. You can apply anyplace you want to apply, nobody is stopping you. Just so you know two ADCOM members replied to your post and neither encouraged MD applications. A 498 is really low for MD. Good luck!
