Hi SDN,

I am hoping to apply this cycle, but unfortunately I am taking my mcat july 28. The tentative release date for score release is august 30 and assuming I would have submitted transcripts and personal statement finished by the score release date, I would have a few weeks time to have AMCAs verify my entire application.

https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/amcas/deadlines/ is a list of the deadlines for all of the medical schools to receive applications.

But besides from the MCAT score and transcripts, exactly what else must be submitted by those deadlines above? Only the primary application, or the secondaries as well, and how about letters of rec?

If someone could give me an outline of the entire process and when all the different things are do, I would be forever indebted!

Your primary app includes MCAT, transcripts, PS, and LORs. You will not receive secondaries until your application is verified. You can and should submit before you have your MCAT score; AMCAS will take care of sending out your score when it comes it. You can also add LOR's after submitting.
