What is the proper procedure for soliciting feedback on your application from a school at which you were interviewed but not accepted? I understand that it might vary by school, but will most schools provide some idea of where you fell short?

Some schools will discuss your weaknesses if you are not accepted. For example, if you were a strong candidate, but had poor interviews you would be told to strengthen your interviewing skills/strategy. I know that my alma mater does this, but I'm not familiar with how other schools operate.

I emailed the assistant admissions director at UAMS after getting waitlisted, and she set up a chat with the admissions director. It wasn't really any different than the other schools I contacted (which rejected me), procedure-wise.

I called an Admissions Office and asked to make a telephone appointment with one of the deans to discuss my (failed) application. This appointment was given to me for a later date at a specific time. When I called again, the dean had my application in front of her. She was willing to discuss very frankly my strengths and weakness. This was valuable, as previously I had no idea that my LORs were strong, and didn't need improvement. I was left with a good idea of where to best concentrate my efforts.
