Application fees from family member?

Hey folks, quick question.

Do application fee cheques need to be made in the applicant's name? I'm a Canadian applicant and don't feel like going through the trouble of opening a U.S. bank account. My brother has a U.S. account and he can just write the cheques for me, presumably? As long as I include my own name and AADSAS ID on the face of the cheque?

Basically, did anybody else have someone in their family make fee payments on their behalf? 🙂

Yes. I use my mothers and fathers checks to send to schools for the fee. There is no way i have so much money to send it from my account. I have the same last name as my parents. I just write my name on the check, aadsas id, ss#, dentpin. LOL just to make sure!!! hahah 🙂

As long as it clears they probably won't care, just in the memo make sure it has YOUR info so they can match it up 🙂

Nice! You should feel very loved to have a mom and dad that will pay your secondary fees! It was bittersweet to see my bank account being drained. On one hand I knew my app was that much closer to being completed and on the other I was becoming poor. Or should I say poorer? Is that even a word? Oh well, you guys know what I mean...
