hi everyone. i'm new to this site and i was wondering if anyone could help me.

i took the dat last month and scored a 19 bio, 21 gchem, 15 ochem, 19 qr, 21 rc, 16 pat, 18 ts and 19aa.

i am retaking the test in oct in hopes of better scores in case i need to reapply next spring. i reported my july scores on my application and also put oct 2005 for future dat date. so does anyone know whether or not my application will be held until my second dat scores are in?

welcome to this site. even though I just finished my freshman year, i had some research on the application process. As far as I know, if you applied through AADSAS website, they will send ur application as soon as they get transcript, letters of recommandation, and other informations with fees.
Since DAT score is sent directly to the institutions, the institutions will hold your application until they get ur DAT score. It's because they can't decide your admission until they have your score.

if I have a question about this....I wonder if they gonna be like, oh well, his first DAT score is bad, i will reject him, and then get 2nd DAT score and say "oh well...it's too late, i rejected him already and i don't wanna do the double check... -_-; ".....but yeah...i believe they won't accept nor reject until the deadline (even though i already see some people for the interview like 3 months before the deadline for some reason).

Just remember to be a sticky note saying that you are retaking the DAT. Your scores are fine though. As long as your GPA is decent, you should get in.

Thanks for the encouragement and help! Well I am applying to 15 schools. My Sci GPA is 3.27. BCP is 3.09 and overall is 3.55. I'm just worried about my PAT and Ochem scores because they are below average.

I'm starting to get nervous as well. I'm sort of in the same boat as you as far as DAT scores go. I'm not sure. I was going to re-take the DAT but I didn't want to study so much just to get a few more questions right to raise my score 1 point, ya know? And even then, if I raised my score 1 point in 1 section, it wouldn't really help my AA or TS very much.

I keep hearing that these scores are alright though. Its nice for some reassurance when you're nervous!

Hi guys, I need help!!!! ok...so I haven't taken my DAT yet, and I still want to apply this year. But currently I'm studying for DAT. And I'm planning to take it in beginning of sept. Is it too late to apply, if it is...is it okay if I submit my application without my DAT scores. Would that reduce my chances?

I think you should go ahead and submit your application without your DAT scores because the schools will get a score report directly from ADA. Plus it takes awhile to verify your transcript so you should send in your application asap. Hope that helps!
